WHAT IS A POLICY?
At Ossett Childcare and Preschool, we have a set of policies that outline our approach to childcare and the standards we uphold. These documents not only highlight our core values and practices but also ensure that we meet legal requirements when necessary.
For instance, we are committed to treating every child and adult with equal respect, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment in our setting. Our primary goal is to deliver high-quality childcare that meets the diverse needs of children and their families. Setting reasonable and appropriate boundaries is key to effectively managing children's behaviour.
By nurturing a happy and safe atmosphere, we promote the development of important social skills, helping children feel valued as they grow. We believe in using positive discipline strategies as a more constructive way to establish boundaries.
Through our policies, we aim to provide each child with the best possible start in life, supporting them to reach their full potential and achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes: staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution, and achieving economic well-being.
Our policies encompass various areas, including health & safety, behaviour, food & drink, equal opportunities, medication, and managing accidents, among others.
